Manuka Oil for Natural Animal Skin Care

Manuka Oil is a special type of tea tree oil that is 30 times more effective than regular tea tree oil, according to an independent study. Manuka tea tree oil added to pet shampoo is used for dog  flea treatment. It can also be applied after a dog tick removal to help avoid a tick bite infection. Manuka tea tree oil has been successfully used to treat atopic dermatitis in dogs.

It can also be used as a natural animal skin care product for minor surface scratches, abrasions, rashes, cuts, insect stings, bites and other minor skin blemishes. Manuka Oil can also be used for many general skin problems in dogs and other animals.

Dental Animal Health Care with Manuka Oil

Manuka Oil can be added to the regular pet toothpaste to treat dog gingivitis and gingivitis in other animals.

Active Manuka Honey as Natural Wound Dressing

Active Manuka Honey is used as a natural wound dressing for dog wound care, as well as for cat wounds, horse wounds and other animal wound care. Apply Active Manuka Honey to a sterile gauze, then apply the gauze with the honey attached to any cut, wound, burn, ulcer, sore or scar. Antibacterial Active Manuka Honey destroys wound bacteria, 'feeds' the wound with sugars, which in turn helps to produce new cells to close a wound.

Active Manuka Honey acts as a barrier between the wound and the dressing. So when it comes to changing the dressing, it is easy to remove and painless for the pet, no tearing of hair etc.

Active Manuka Honey is also used for gastro-intestinal problems in animal health care:

Active Manuka Honey can be used as a natural remedy for internal health problems for house pets, farm animals, zoo, aquatic or wild animals. This special honey can be taken for
canine acid reflux, upset stomach, dog gastritis, or stomach ulcers. Many pet owners have also observed that Active Manuka Honey seems to help increase an animals appetite, if an animal is suffering from low appetite or other illnesses that cause an animal to stop eating, you can give the animal 3x 1 teaspoon (or tablespoon, depending on the size of the animal), to start increasing the animals appetite so it can return to normal eating patterns.

Put one teaspoon of Active Manuka Honey on a small piece of bread or dog biscuit (for dogs), and give it to your dog 30 minutes before feeding. Do this 3x times per day. The dog does not have to follow with a feeding after manuka honey intake, as long as the honey is given on a empty stomach, that is o.k., as most dogs don't get fed 3x a day. Depending on the size of the dog, maybe 3x 1/2 teaspoon a day may be enough to help relieve gastro-intestinal distress such as acid reflux, heartburn, upset stomach, stomach ulcers, or ibs (irritable bowel syndrome).
